First of all, I have many shorter videos so check those out first if you don't feel like devoting 20 minutes to slowly see this oddity unfold. Here is one of the most eyebrow raising parts: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-i2IF9rvfNM I am sorry for the text in the middle of the screen. The cheap piece of software that I used to cut this video into three chunks and compress for youtube would not accept the rm format, so I had to use trial software to convert to avi. THIS WAS ORINGINALLY ABOUT A 25 MINUTE LONG SERMON OF RAMBLINGS, AND THEN A 25 MINUTE LONG SONG. THE SAME SONG FOR 25 MINUTES. I promise you, if you take the time to watch a couple of minutes of this video you will start to get an impression of just how weird this guy is. If you can't be patient, then skip ahead in the video, because as it goes on it just gets weirder and weirder. I should make it very clear that there has been no "trick" editing in this, as in, I'm not replaying the audio over and over, this guy actually repeated himself many times while preaching. I have made edits and cuts, however, and I have cut the time of the regular video in half. My purpose was to give you a feel for the video, but it was intended to be a rough, sloppy edit. I didn't watch every second of this and then decide exactly what to put in, instead I skipped around and found interesting things. I did however go out of my way to put in as many shots of the audience from the broadcast because I thought it was interesting to see what normal looking people were listening to this tripe. Later I will post the times up so that you can see exactly where the cuts are, because I feel that should be clear so it doesn't look like this was cut to make him look crazier since that clearly is not necessary. These three videos of Water of Life church are taken from a broadcast aired on January 15, 2007. The broadcasts are also posted on the internet at http://www.doyledavidson.com/audio.htm The television broadcasts used to be on the Daystar network which also broadcasts Billy Graham and other reputable Christian ministers, however he was pulled after claiming that two Christian girls murdered in the Columbine shooting wouldn't have died if they had had more faith. The show now airs on KLDT-Channel 55, a Lewisville-based independent that mostly runs infomercials, as well as a few other small channels sparsely located around the US. Doyle Davidson is the pastor of this church and he is absolutely insane. He runs his church like a cult and as you can see some of his congregation is very affected by his words. In 2004 he decided that God had told him that He was giving him Lisa Staton, his personal secretary to be his wife. Mrs. Staton was already married, but Davidson insisted that God told him their marriage was no longer valid and every time they had sex she was adultering against her true husband Doyle Davidson. Davidson focuses a lot on evil spirits affecting humans especially the "Jezebel spirits" which get women to be disobedient to their husbands, and he ascribes this video to Mrs. Staton. You can hear him mention Jezebel spirits on this recording. Davidson achieved some degree of press coverage in May 2006 when the Dallas Observer published this article http://www.dallasobserver.com/Issues/2006-05-18/news/feature.html about the church following an incident where a church member who went to church almost every night of the week, Dena Schlosser, killed her baby by sawing off its arms while she lay in her crib because she thought God wanted her to. It is clear to most people that Mrs. Schlosser needed psychiatric treatment, but she thought that taking medication was immoral, and that God was the only thing that could cure her of the Jezebel spirits. I highly recommend the Dallas Observer article, it is very long, but very thorough, and it is pretty much the only media you are going to find on the matter.
