The City of Dallas was one of hundreds that participated in a nationwide protest against the passage of California's Proposition 8 which bans gay marriage. The passing of Prop 8 caused a week long protest in California which has since spread across the countries like the New York City which brought out an incredible estimated 10,000 protesters.

Very enthusiastic crowd on Cedar Springs in Oak Lawn in Dallas, TX, views the 25th annual Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade. This part has Grand Marshals former Dallas mayor Laura Miller (walking behind float) and Mark Frazier, District One councilman Steve Salazar, Police Chief David Kunkle, Jagermeister, Youth First, LGBT Democrats for Obama, Constable Cortes, Lambda Legal, Log Cabin Republicans, a motorcycle group, Leathermasters, American Airlines (GLEAM), and Frito-Lay. I may have gotten some of the parade out of order. I may have been an idiot with the camera a few times. I know that I missed some stuff when I thought I had the camera on and didn't. I couldnt identify every group.
