On the afternoon of August 2, 1985, Delta Air Lines flight 191 crashed while on approach to the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, killing 8 of 11 crew members and 126 of the 152 passengers on board and one person on the ground: a total of 135 deaths.

Taking off at Dallas Love Field on Continental Express. While taxing before take-off you will see this old World War II looking aircraft. (Sorry, I can tell you the difference between all the 737s models by looking at them, but I can't tell one military aircraft from another.) We are using runway 13L, which gives us a southeast departure out of Love Field. While taking off, you will see the Continental and American gates at Love Field. Right after take-off once we cross Mockingbird Lane, you will see a warehouse building with "WRIGHT IS WRONG" painted on the roof. You will also see all the high rises along I-35 and then the high rises in Uptown area including the new Azure under construction. The clouds moved in before we could get to Downtown Dallas.

Landing at Dallas Love Field on a Continental Express ERJ-145. The first thing in the video is Downtown Dallas and CityPlace, as we fly over Lake Highlands in northeast Dallas. You then will see Mockingbird Station area around Mockingbird/Central. We cross central and enter North Dallas and flying around the above Forest Lane as we enter Preston Hollow. You will see Preston Center at Preston and Northwest Highway, followed by Dallas Love Field. Then the large homes of Preston Hollow will appear before we hit Midway Rd. We are flying in a Northwest direction at this point and cross 635 and make a turn a little past Brookhaven College. That is what that huge area with parking lots is right before we fly over a golf course. We turn over the industrial area over Farmers Branch. You will also see the 635/35 interchange. Now we are lined up to land on runway 13L. We cross 635 again and in the background you can see the Dallas Galleria Mall Area. We continued to head southeast over the I-35 industrial area in Dallas towards Love Field. We will past target and fly over Buckman Lake before touching down at DAL. Once on the ground there is a very short Taxi to the gate. You can also clearly see Downtown Dallas while we are taxing to the gate.
