Dallas Movie: Joyful Praise - Cable Access 9/11 Tribute (Simply Hideous!)

Tags

Here's a clip from the local Dallas cable access program "Joyful Praise".. this episode aired shortly after 9/11, and features the children of some of the "Joyful Praise" staff members.. one of them sings a medley, wearing an ultra tacky outfit, belting out "Proud To Be An American" with an off-key voice, and another song.. while the other child plays an American classic on his keyboard, hitting the wrong notes constantly, and showing zero charisma.. Enjoy!

Dallas Movie: Four Days in November Part One

Tags

This is part one of a 12 part program called Four Days in November about the assassination of President Kennedy and his funeral coverage. It was an excellent program. I taped this program in November of 1988, as it was shown during the 25th anniversary season of President Kennedy's death- which had alot of programming about President Kennedy. Some scenes are at the Trade Mart in Dallas, Texas where the President was en route when he was shot. Included and mentioned in this video are reports that President John F. Kennedy and Governor Connally were shot. Parkland Memorial Hospital is mentioned as the hospital the motorcade is heading to from the shooting scene in Downtown Dallas,Texas where the President was shot. President Kennedy was shot in downtown Dallas however, the hospital was about 3 miles or so down Stemmons Freeway at Harry Hines Blvd. Eddie Barker is reporting at the Trade Mart for KRLD TV, and Walter Cronkite is reporting the news and switching back and forth to Eddie Barker occasionally while getting reports from the newswire. Dan Rather narrates this program. Also mentioned in this clip is the intersection of Elm and Houston Street where President Kennedy was shot before he entered the Triple Underpass (which was a railroad bridge). At the end of the clip, Walter Cronkite announces the offical report that President Kennedy died at 1 PM CST(which is what Malcolm Kilduff said at the Press Conference at that Parkland Hospital classroom.
