Please help us by calling and or emailing "Mo" of the University of North Texas's Housing Dpt and demand that she stops harrasing peace activists, drops all charges against the asaulted, and places their student accounts off probation. University of North Texas Students & Non-students counter recruited with IVAW, Iraq Veterans Against the War Truth in Recruiting fliers on April 22, 2008. After hosting peace activist Colonel Ann Wright, students and non-students decided to peacefully enter the Willis Library with painted hands to raise awareness to the illegal wars, violence, and occupations in such places as Iraq & Afghanistan. During the peaceful entry, |UA| United Aid members were detained (3) times, with a member of |UA| United Aid (a coalition of student and non-student organizations in Denton, TX) allegedly assaulted, according to witnesses. As of yet, |UA| United Aid and or its members refuse to press charges against this alleged aggressor. As a result of this peaceful action, local Denton, TX UNT Police Detectives have arrested and questioned members of |UA| United Aid and now members of SDS Students for a Democratic Society. In addition, student and nonstudents peace activist Jason C. Waite will be apprearing in court in Denton, TX in regards to this action. (Yes he's the nonviolent activist assaulted in the video.) Thanks to all for the support!
